Department of         [Polytechnic]

Mechanical Engineering

a Core Technical Branch.

Mechanical engineers are employed in virtually every kind of industry

It plays a vital role in Development of the nation and Growth of Society. In Vishwabharati Academy’s College of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering (Polytechnic) was established in 2012. The Department is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai (MSBTE). The department has well qualified and experienced staff. We have an excellent record of results and placements. Department is enriched with laboratories. Laboratories are well equipped with all equipment. Department focuses on building the industry linkage to provide the exposure to latest technologies through MoUs, in-plant training, workshops, industrial visits and expert lectures. MESA (Mechanical Engineering Students Association) is the student association, which looks into the various co-curricular activities in the department. We organize various Social Activities like Tree-Plantation, Blood Donation Camp, Bird Feeder Installation, Cleaning Drive, Street Play etc. Duration of the Mechanical Polytechnic Course is 3 Years. According to the New I Scheme curriculum of Polytechnic Course, An In-Plant Training Program of 45 Days is introduced after second year. Till now 100+ students successfully completed the In-Plant Training from various well known companies around Ahmednagar MIDC. Department also motivates and supports the students to participate in Sports Activities. Khan Razik, Student from TY Mechanical wins State Level Boxing Championship.

Vision

To contribute to India through excellence in technical education and to serve as a valuable resource for industry and society.
